I was born in Kerala, India. I completed my M. Sc. Degree in Environmental Engineering (2010) from Cochin University of Science and Technology, India. In 2014 I received my Ph.D. from Hokkaido University, Japan under the guidance of Prof. Bunshi Fugetsu. Currently I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at The University of Tokyo.
My multidisciplinary study focuses on developing novel material for environmental remediation, especially in water treatment system. I integrate nanostructured materials (e.g. carbon nanotube, Prussian blue, nano cellulose) with polymer to develop innovative adsorption material. One of my recent achievements is a cost effective production of a new class of the “cthelate-like”, water-insoluble, three-dimensional porous nanostructure for the effective elimination of radioactive cesium from contaminated waters and soil.
